These pictures were taken by William Vandivert in September 1940. Vandivert was a staff photographer for LIFE magazine, and a founder of Magnum Photos.
Thanks for these, I have never seen them before, they look like the type of photos that would have been censored in England to prevent damaging morale.
This pic is from 14 October 1940 at Balham. Over 60 people died underground that night.
